Seattle's BEST Handblown Glass Artist
I recently saw the stats for my website, and I was a bit shocked how many folks actually find me. With a few hundred new readers a day, I might as well introduce y'all to something special.
Beth Fishman is by far Seattle's most creatvie glass artist. She's studied under all the masters, and she's worked in a number of foreign countries to add to her skills. The biggest difference with Beth from the well-known media artists, is that Beth still works the hot shop. She doens't simply stand there with a cold soda, directing a team of worker-bees. Sure, she has worker-bees, but she is right in there with them. I know . . . I spent time with her in the hot shop. And for those of you who know me well, you know Beth is my sister. So even though I am partial to her work, I think you'll agree with my comments. Beth produces everythng from glassware to some of the most creative wall art I have ever seen. Her prices range from a few hundred dollars all the way up to $50,000+ for commissioned work.
Here is a link to her website with some of the production stuff she does . . . www.BethFishman.com I will have her photograph some of her commissioned and gallery pieces so I can include them here. I've told her to build a new website with the gallery stuff, but she's too busy and too much the artist to care about a website. She can't keep up with the work as it is.
Office Art - If you're looking for something different. If you're tired of the basic paintings on the wall . . . you need to see some of Beth's larger commissioned pieces. Most of this stuff starts at $10,000 but I guarantee everyone that walks in will comment.
Art for the Home - For my residential buyers of homes over one million, we present them with a piece of Beth's glass. They get to choose, and they always want more than one. whether it is a flower vase or gallery quality wall art, Beth's stuff stands out.
If you are ever in Seattle, and you are interested in glass, you should pay Beth a visit in the hot shop or visit some of the galleries with her work.
