The Incompetence of Fannie Mae

Below is the listing we have been discussing.  In the center of the listing at the top you will notice a section "Area" and next to it "1 - Hutchinson Island."  The subject home is miles away from Hutchinson Island in the city of Stuart.
The line below "Area" you will see "Martin's Xing" even though the subdivision is "Martins Crossing" and all listings through local brokers use the correct version "Martins Crossing" and that is how agents and consumers search for homes in this subdivison.  Who in their right mind would even think to use "Xing" instead of the word "Crossing" to search.  And even if you did creatively come up with that, you would have also had to add the possessive version of Martin.  But it doesn't end there.

The only room dimensions for this home are the Living Room, Main Bedroom and Kitchen.  Look through the rest of the listing and you will see a lot of blanks.  If you want to see a quality listing in this subdivision scroll down this listing.  But before you do that, note this home was on the market for 259 days.  You would think someone would have thought to look at the listing.  Someone at Fannie Mae or the asset manager, Executive Asset Management would have requested a copy of the listing to verify the home was listed properly.

Below is a listing from a local broker.  Notice the proper Area and the proper Subdivision name, room sizes, property data, features and everything we normally include in a listing.  Unfortunately, Fannie Mae's Rick Gebhart doesn't think these things are important.  In fact, the Miami broker above, 120 miles away . . . is still going to represent Fannie Mae with hidden listings and WARNING signs in the place of FOR SALE signs.
